Color of US Miltary MRE menu package
 

Does anyone know if the U.S. Military changed the color of the plastic MRE menu packaging from tan to another color in 2006 or thus far this year?

Mine are in a clear outer plastic sealed bag. Inside that are items in clear bags and some in cardboard boxes. Inside the cardboard boxes are the Entr�e. The Entr�e is in a tan bag.

Hope thats normal as I was told they were less than a month old when I bought them.

Ok, thank a lot.

Anybody else...has the color of the U.S. military tan plastic individual menu packaging been changed to end the span of the 10 Julian-year calendar tan color (1996-2005).

I'm wondering if the color hasn't been changed, how can a person tell whether a (say) 6102 dated case was packed in 1996 or 2006?
